The power of additional colours in the Xerox Iridesse Production Press

At the beginning of December, we expanded our machinery park by an 8th Xerox Production Press - Iridesse model. The HD printing option and the use of 6 printing stations allowed us to significantly increase our capabilities and the quality of colour prints and covers.

Xerox Iridesse is a versatile and well-equipped production machine that reliably meets all expectations in terms of reasonable costs of low-volume printing, personalization and speed of implementation in a modern automated environment. Speed of up to 120 pages per minute, a number of integrated finishing options, the ability to print on mixed media with a maximum grammage of 400 g/m2 are the advantages thanks to which we can confidently undertake very advanced printing orders.

Our new piece of equipment is the first toner device that can print with up to 6 colours at the same time. What's more, printed, and even printed and laminated paper can be put back into the machine and amazing effects can be achieved, such as selective varnish on the laminated cover. In addition to 4 standard CMYK colours, the machine can print with transparent varnish, white (even on black surfaces, in one or two passes), metallic colours - silver and gold.

The innovative arrangement of 6-colour print engine allows us to print the entire palette of metallic colours combined with CMYK colours due to the overlap and penetration of toners. This is a very challenging and costly effect in offset printing, and with us you can do it even on one copy, without additional costs of Pantone colours.
